Question raised on raising roofs for nv200

On another forum, I was asked if the raising roof will give sufficient headroom whilst at the washbasin and gas hob. These are located on the offside behind the driver’s cab seat.
Suffolk Campervans use a rear hinged raising roof (or pop top) which maximises headroom exactly where it’s needed
“Our” raising roof is from Drivelodge and is front hinged. It has an aerodynamic roof spoiler to protect it from the airflow at the hinged end. According to my estimations it offers around about 6 feet of headroom in the habitation zone adjacent to the washbasin and gas hob. The average UK male is 5 feet 9 inches tall and so Dinkum’s Kamper should have enough space for a standup wash.
I believe that my roof will be around about the 5th or 6th produced by Drivelodge. Still quite recent developement.
Another UK converter produces an all around lift up “pop top” with four sides in “canvas”. I do not believe that a side lifting pop top is available yet.

Looks ok but would not it look better colour coded? I think you will have loads of head room no body stands up straight.Daz
